Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included in the retreat cost and provided by our fabulous chef, Amy Gates. As this retreat is about restoring health and wellness to the runner, our food approach is also meant to help refresh our guts as well. While on retreat, all meals will be delicious and plant-based. We assure you that you will not be nibbling on carrots and celery the whole time; you'll get to explore the fresh and satisfying world of plants transformed into gut-happy meals. Good news for those who are sensitive to gluten - all the food will be free of gluten ingredients. This is not an allergy-free retreat, and we are unable to ensure that cross contamination will not happen. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have additional dietary requests to see if we are able to accommodate. We encourage those with more severe dietary restrictions to consider lodging with a kitchen available to store food you may need for the retreat. As we will try to accommodate most diets, all participants will be required to pay the full retreat programming fee, not deducting food costs.
Our retreat is meant to hit the reset button on health and wellness for our runners, and we have found a magical spot tucked just away from Taos, New Mexico. Our retreat location is in Carson, New Mexico at Vista Verde Retreat Center - 2 hours from the Albuquerque Airport and 90 minutes from the Santa Fe Airport. Carson is a small New Mexico town with about 150 residents, a general store, post office, and fire department. The retreat itself is on 40 acres with two hiking trails looping through the natural surroundings. There are no televisions and cell service is sketchy. WiFi is available in the Main House and the Q. For those who want to come early or stay later to explore on the long holiday weekend, Taos and Santa Fe have many unique draws for tourists who love the Southwest: shopping, gallery touring, dining, and the Pueblo, to name a few. The local culture is flavorful. We highly recommend soaking at nearby Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs . If you can, make time before or after our planned retreat programming, stay an extra day, or adjust your departure to allow for a little more relaxation.
